Next opportunities — May 23; June 13 & 27

We have an opportunity to serve our neighbors in Christ's Name: InnVision needs our help distributing fresh fruits, vegetables and other food to people in need. InnVision handles all the "paperwork" and decisions — they just need help bagging the groceries from their supplies on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month, from 9:00 AM to about 12:00 noon.

If you are retired, work part time, are a stay-at-home parent who'd like to have a few hours out, or just have time, this is the perfect opportunity for you. There is some lifting and carrying, but it is NOT required! Call the Office for more information. Location: At the InnVision warehouse at 7th and Commercial Street in San Jose.

Movers & Shakers Furniture Ministry

In these tough economic times, especially in this area where housing is so expensive, more and more families find it very difficult to provide the basic necessities of life. Many who are struggling in low-income jobs are not able to buy a bed or a lamp. There are many children in this community who sleep on the floor every night.

Movers & Shakers seeks to ensure that no child or adult has to live in a home without adequate furniture. We are also recycling usable household furniture that is not needed by others.

We rely on the donations of clean, gently-used furniture from individuals, companies and other organizations. We will make an appointment with you, send our truck to pick up furniture from your home or storage, and bring the furniture to our warehouse until a new home is found for it. Your donation is a tax deductible gift to the Church, and a receipt will be provided.
